My (Hypothetical) Name, Part Four:

If I were named after my mother, who was named for her mother, named for her mother, and on and on.... If I were the 4th or 10th or 110th in a row.... Even if all the world(!!!) thought our child's name was, of course, predetermined:

I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have had any problem at all naming her something else.... :-)

And if Matt were Matthew Williams IV, or Matthew Williams VII, I'm totally sure we both would have said, ok. Stop the insanity. Roman Numerals need not continue. Hehe. And Seth would have still been Seth, not Matthew Williams VIII.

Is that totally weird...? :-) It seems completely unremarkable to me.
